Account Executive – Experiential

As a part of the agency team, your main responsibility is managing the day-to-day business of your assigned accounts. You will also help develop marketing plans based on clients’ needs and business goals. In addition, you will aid in new business efforts by seeking out new client prospects, supporting the agency with proposals and pitches, and building opportunities with existing clients.

You are expected to help the agency develop superior and insightful work while meeting deadlines. You will partner with appropriate client counterparts, think expansively and creatively about problems, and help identify effective solutions. While the main responsibility of the AE is account management, you will have an opportunity to challenge yourself in many areas of the agency. It’s not unheard of for any one of us to pitch in on strategy sessions, write copy, build pitch decks or work directly with clients on advertising initiatives.

At Popskull, you are expected to:

  • Be acquainted with a brand’s competitive landscape and product differentiators
  • Gather, organize, disseminate, and maintain critical information to assist the agency and client in developing strategic and tactical recommendations
  • Own the development and execution of events and experiential marketing campaigns
  • Evaluate third-party vendors and provide recommendations
  • Understand the agency portfolio of offerings and how to apply them to solve client’s business problems
  • Manage client contact on a day to day basis: communicate timelines, expectations, and scope to clients; schedule meetings and conference calls; receive and disseminate client feedback
  • Initiate and maintain status and conference reports
  • Provide direction to the agency team via the creative brief and communicate project milestones
  • Organize, plan and manage agency workflows
  • Identify and manage issues or barriers anticipated in project completion
  • Review all deliverables for quality and accuracy at each checkpoint and before client review
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Seek out opportunities for agency growth across existing and new client prospects
  • Assist Agency Leadership in prospecting and new business pitches

Here’s what you bring to the table:

  • 3-5 years account management experience in an advertising agency with an emphasis on experiential marketing
  • A Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communications or business is a nice to have
  • An ability to interact and communicate effectively and personably with employees and clients at all levels
  • A creative problem framer able to quickly identify concerns, evaluate the situation, and communicate challenges and needs to the right people
  • Experience across all types of media and advertising. In particular, experiential, activations, inbound marketing (HubSpot), social media, traditional (print, OOH, radio, TV), online (Web, PPC and Display), and direct response
  • Willingness to be part of a team. We’re a close-knit, yet independent group of individuals all working toward the same goals
  • Competitive spirit and working knowledge of several variations of board, card, and dice games
